JOB DESCRIPTION: ONE SOIL PART-TIME CREW MEMBER 2024

 

One Soil Farm, Cedar Grove NC 27231

 

Hours: 20 hrs/week: 8 am - 12 pm, Mon - Fri (shifting to 7 am - 11 am during the summer)

 

Dates: April 1, 2024 - Oct 2024

 

Pay: $15/hr

 

Experience/Qualities Desired:

• Ability to do physical work outside in NC summer heat 

• Attention to detail and love of specific directions

• Desire to work solo and as part of a crew

• Ability/desire to do repetitive tasks for hours at a time

• Ability/desire to give and receive honest feedback

• Enthusiasm!

 

Job Description:

•  Field Work Tasks (including but not limited too): weeding, shoveling, clearing beds, spreading compost, planting . . .

•  JCSA harvest and prep: working with Meredith and Molly to harvest, wash, and pack JCSA shares on Weds and Fridays

•  Daily summer harvesting: crew member will be trained to do daily harvesting of zucchini, cucumbers, okra, tomatoes . . .
