ONE SOIL PART-TIME SUMMER CREW MEMBER, 2025

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

 

Address:1550 McDade Store Road, Cedar Grove, NC 27231

Hours: 20 hrs/week: 7 am - 11 am, Mon - Fri (or Tuesday - Saturday on market weeks)

Dates: June 2 - Aug 29, 2025

Pay: $15/hr

 

Experience/Qualities Desired:

• Ability to do physical work outside in NC summer heat 

• Attention to detail and love of specific directions

• Desire to work solo and as part of a crew

• Ability/desire to do repetitive tasks for hours at a time

• Ability/desire to give and receive honest feedback

• Enthusiasm!

 

Job Description:

•  Field Work Tasks (including but not limited to): weeding, shoveling, clearing beds, spreading compost, moving tarps, broad forking, planting . . .

•  CSA harvest and prep: working with the team to harvest, wash, and pack weekly CSA shares 

•  Daily summer harvesting: crew member will be trained to do daily harvesting of zucchini, cucumbers, okra, tomatoes . . .

• North Durham Farmers’ Market on Saturday June 7, Saturday July 5, and Saturday August 2 (details on market days here)
